Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile male found at 11212 Westpark Drive about 9 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 27).
The identity of the victim, 16, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Persad and A. Grimes reported:
Officers were dispatched to a fatal vehicle crash in an apartment complex parking lot at the above address. They located the victim in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that had crashed into two other vehicles in the parking lot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Personnel from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences arrived later and advised officers the male had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.
Investigators believe the shooting occurred at another location and not inside the vehicle.
