Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 10700 Hughes Road about 1 a.m. on Sunday (Nov. 28).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Hroch and Officer S. Bouarar reported:
The victim was driving a black Honda Civic at a high rate of speed southbound at the above address when a gray Saturn left the stop sign at Sagepark Lane and entered into the intersection. The Saturn’s driver failed to yield the right of way and was struck by the Honda. Paramedics were called and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
The male driver, 33, of the Saturn was transported to a hospital for minor injuries. He did not show signs of intoxication and consented to a blood draw.
No charges have been filed at this time. The investigation is continuing.
