Houston police have learned that a man critically injured in a shooting at 9707 South Gessner Road about 8:05 a.m. on January 11, had died.
The victim is identified as Richar Torres Gomez, 23.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Hughey and K. Lovelace reported:
On January 11, the victim and another male got into an argument with an unknown suspect regarding a loud vehicle. The suspect pulled out a gun and shot both men. One victim was transported to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in critical condition. Doctors pronounced him deceased on Saturday (January 13). The second male, 19, suffered gunshot wounds and was transported to an area hospital. He is expected to survive.
At this time, there is no known suspect description.
