Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 9420 Cullen Boulevard about 11:05 p.m. on Friday (Aug. 11).
The victim is identified as Troy Harris, 57.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Lovelace and M. Hughey reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call in a parking lot of a shopping center at the above address and found Mr. Harris suffering from a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Witnesses stated Mr. Harris saw the unidentified male suspect assault a male in a wheelchair. The suspect walked away from the scene and Harris confronted him and walked back to the scene of the assault with the suspect. Both men got into a verbal argument and the suspect produced a gun and shot the victim. The suspect fled the scene on foot.
