Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of another that occurred at 9012 Clinton Street about 1:30 a.m. today (January 2).
The identity of the deceased male, 48, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Brady and M. Casso reported:
Officers responded to a report of a crash at the above address and found a black Mercedes sedan had crashed into a ditch. The driver had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
The passenger, 29, also suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
Further investigation identified the suspects only as two unknown black males. They fled the scene in an unknown direction.
