Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 7700 Corporate Drive about 7:15 p.m. on Sunday (March 6).
The identity of the male victim, 18, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detective E. Wohlgemuth and J. Gardner reported:
Officers responded to a report of gunshots at the above address and found the victim lying in the grass in the apartment complex common area. The victim had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene. Witnesses stated two Hispanic males were seen fleeing the area and then carjacked a person at gunpoint in the parking lot.
The suspects then fled in the stolen vehicle, a black Chevrolet Tracker. The vehicle was later found, unoccupied, in the 8900 block of Gustine about 4:30 a.m. today (March 7).
