HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Simmons and S. Overstreet reported:
The homeowner, 39, of the above residence had just returned when he was confronted by three armed, black male suspects hiding in the bushes. The suspects assaulted the homeowner and forced their way inside where they attempted to rob him.
The homeowner’s daughters, 20 and 15, were inside the home and attempted to hide in a bedroom closet only to be discovered by the suspects who forced them out at gunpoint.
While the suspects were inside the residence, the homeowner’s 20-year-old son arrived, retrieved his own weapon, and shot one of the suspects in front of the residence. The other two suspects then fled the scene in the homeowner’s silver Toyota Sienna minivan with Texas license plates DGL-3948.
The suspects are described only as tall black males dressed in all black clothing.
