Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of two men and the wounding of another at 5300 West Gulf Bank Road that occurred about 7:35 p.m. on Monday (August 24).
The identities of the two deceased males, 31 and 19, are pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. A third male, 22, suffered a gunshot wound and remains in stable condition.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant E. Wohlgemuth and Investigator B. Stephens reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and upon arrival, found one of the victims inside an apartment with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital by HFD paramedics where he was pronounced deceased.
Shortly after, additional officers were flagged down in the 9100 block of West Montgomery where two citizens had attempted to transport the second gunshot victim to the hospital in a private vehicle. The victim was pronounced dead at the location where they had stopped and flagged down the officers.
A third gunshot wound victim was located in an area hospital with a non life-threatening gunshot wound.
The suspects are described only as three to four black males in a black Nissan Rogue. The shooter was described as wearing a grey sweater and a mask.
