Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male and the wounding of a female at 5151 Hidalgo Street that occurred about 11:10 a.m. on Sunday (October 11).
The male victim, Jeffrey Lamberth, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene. The female victim, 35, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective J. Roscoe reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in a parking garage at the above address. Upon arrival, they found Mr. Lamberth and his wife had suffered gunshot wounds while sitting in his car. Witnesses stated a white, four-door Nissan sedan pulled up next to the victim’s car and a suspect got out and fired multiple times into their car.
A second female victim had also been sitting in the victim’s vehicle and may have been injured, but fled the scene prior to the arrival of police.
The suspect is described only as a black male in his early 20s, clean-shaven and wearing a red t-shirt.
