Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 5101 Yale Street about 4 p.m. on Friday (June 10).
The identity of the victim, 49, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives N. Henderson and L. Patterson reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the convenience store at the above address. Upon arrival, they found the victim unresponsive next to a crashed vehicle. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced him deceased.
Further investigation determined the victim was involved in a verbal and physical confrontation with an unknown black male. The victim was then shot multiple times.
