Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4620 North Main Street about 3:20 p.m. on Saturday (April 23).
The victim is identified as Carlos Granillo, 51.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Patterson and N. Henderson reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a convenience store at the above address and learned Mr. Granillo and two male suspects had gotten into a verbal altercation. The altercation led to the suspects punching Granillo multiple times. After the altercation, the suspects ran out of the store to a vehicle in the parking lot. Granillo, armed with a gun, chased the suspects. One of the suspect pulled out a gun and fired at Granillo and struck him multiple times. Granillo collapsed in front of the store and was pronounced deceased.
The two males, described only as two Hispanic males, were detained at the scene.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
