Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another that occurred at 4324 Stassen Street about 12:45 a.m. today (February 22).
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Perez and J. Escobar reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above residence and found three males suffering from gunshot wounds. Two males were transported to area hospitals in stable condition. The third male was pronounced deceased by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.
According to witnesses, the males were at a club celebrating a birthday and while they were at the club, the victim (deceased male) got into an argument with his girlfriend. The males all left the club and returned to the above address. The victim’s girlfriend and her father (suspect) then showed up at the residence and the three began arguing. At some point during the argument the suspect pulled out a gun and began shooting.
The female and the suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The suspect is described only as a black male, 45 to 48 years old.
