Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 2800 St. Charles Street about 6:35 a.m. on Thursday (Dec. 26).
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Officers C. Arrington and E. Rossow reported:
Officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and were advised Houston Fire Department paramedics had transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Witnesses heard the victim and a male suspect arguing over possible stolen property. During the argument, the suspect pulled a gun and shot the victim more than once. The suspect, described only as a black male, 35 to 50 years old, then fled on foot.
