The individual, Douglas Ray Crawford (b/m, 36), is being sought by homicide investigators to help provide information in the shooting death of Theodore Lane, 38, and wounding of Stanley Nealy, 41.  Crawford is not charged in this case.

A previous booking photo of Crawford is attached to this news release.  He is about 6 feet tall and weighs 250 to 300 pounds.

One suspect, Corey Levell Johnson (b/m, 28), is already in custody and charged with capital murder in the 208th State District Court for his role in the incident.  A booking photo of Johnson is also attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Perez and A. Barr reported:

On November 8, HPD patrol officers responded to a home invasion at an apartment at the above address and determined two black male suspects knocked on the door claiming to be selling a computer.  When one of the victims opened the door, the suspects forced entry at gunpoint and robbed the occupants of the residence.  Before leaving, the suspects shot Messrs. Lane and Nealey as they were lying on the floor.  Paramedics pronounced Lane deceased at the scene and Nealey was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in an unknown condition.

An investigation identified Johnson as a suspect in this case.  On November 22, Johnson was arrested on an unrelated charge.
Further investigation led detectives to seek Crawford for questioning in the case.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Douglas Crawford is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
