Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 2323 Blodgett Street about 1:10 a.m. on Saturday (June 22).
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Daignualt and Detective J. Escobar reported:
The victim was standing in the parking lot at the above address when an unknown male suspect approached and, for unknown reasons, the two got into a physical altercation. The suspect fired multiple shots, striking the victim at least one time. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses described the suspect as a black male wearing a white T-shirt and running northbound on Emancipation Avenue.
