Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1370 Afton Street

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman found at 1370 Afton Street about 8:35 p.m. on Sunday (April 9).

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Finlay and D. Davis reported:

Officers were dispatched to a person down call at an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim inside her apartment.  She had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

It is believed the shooting happened earlier in the day.  At this time, there is no known suspect.
