| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 12200 Fleming Drive about 9:45 p.m. on Sunday (October 22).
The identity of the female, 26, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Casso and M. Brady reported:
HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department emergency personnel responded to a shooting/home invasion call at the apartment complex at the above address and found the female unresponsive inside her apartment . HFD paramedics pronounced the woman deceased from a gunshot wound.
A witness stated two unknown black male suspects entered the apartment and fired shots at the female and her husband. The female was struck and the husband was unharmed. Two children inside the apartment at the time of the shooting were not injured.
The motive in the shooting appears to be robbery.
