The fatal shooting of a man at 12115 Palmton Street about 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday (March 9) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The victim, Wesley Doss, 42, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives E. Martinez and L. Palma reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at a residence at the above address and were advised that Mr. Doss had been shot once by his elderly stepfather. Statements indicate there was a disturbance that escalated into a shooting. The male shooter, 67, and another family member in the room at the time of the shooting provided statements and are cooperating fully with detectives.
The facts of the incident were presented to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, which determined the case would be presented to a grand jury.
