Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 11900 7th Street about 1:15 p.m. on Sunday (April 21).
The identity of the victim, 52, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Vinogradov and D. Crowder reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting in the roadway at the above address and found the victim unresponsive inside her vehicle. She had been shot multiple times. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the woman deceased.
A preliminary investigation and witness statements determined a male suspect walked up to the victim’s vehicle and fired several shots into the vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene toward the 4200 block of Cook Road in a white Jeep Renegade SUV with black wheels
The suspect is described only as a heavy-set Hispanic male with short hair.
