Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 11001 Fuqua Street

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 11001 Fuqua Street about 8:55 p.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 11).The identity of the victim, 20, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detective M. Perez reported:Officers were dispatched to a drive-by shooting in a parking lot of a gas station at the above address and were advised by witnesses that the victim was shot and taken by private vehicle to a hospital.Witnesses told detectives a light colored vehicle was traveling northbound in the 10800 block of Sabo Road when it slowed down.  A passenger (suspect) in the vehicle began to fire shots at a group of males standing outside the gas station.  The vehicle came to a full stop and the passenger continued to fire shots at the males.  At that time, two of the males in the group then returned fire at the vehicle, which sped off northbound on Sabo Road. One of the males in the group was struck and taken to Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  It is not known if anyone inside the vehicle was struck by the gunfire.  Anyone with information on the wanted suspect(s) and vehicle in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.JFC/VHS  10-12-22Inc #137705622
