| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 1050 West Rankin Road about 2:35 a.m. today (October 1).
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detective S. Overstreet reported:
The victim and his friend were leaving a nightclub at the above address when an argument broke out between the victim and multiple unknown suspects also leaving the club. One of the suspects pulled a gun and shot the victim multiple times. The suspects then fled the scene. The victim’s friend, who was not injured, called 9-1-1.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
