Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 8650 Pitner Road about 12:25 a.m. today (October 1).

The deceased victim is identified as Dimas Gabriel Tiul-Choc, 46.  The second victim, Otto Leonel Tiul-Choc, 28, was transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J Horn and Detective M. Perez reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a park at the above address and found two males with gunshot wounds.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced Dimas Gabriel Tiul-Choc deceased.  His brother, Otto, was transported to an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the back.

A preliminary investigation indicated the brothers were drinking in the park when they were approached by an unknown male suspect who demanded their money.  Before either of the brothers could react, the suspect fired multiple shots and struck both of them.  The suspect, described only as a black male, then got into a dark sedan and fled the scene in an unknown direction.
