Investigation into Fatal Crash at 900 Milam Street – City of Houston

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 900 Milam Street about 12:25 p.m. on Monday (Jan. 29).The identity of the female victim, 64, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer N. Luu reported:The female, a pedestrian, was walking across the street – in the crosswalk – at the above address when she was struck by a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck taking a left turn onto Milam Street from Walker Street. Paramedics transported the female to Memorial Hermann Hospital – Texas Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased. The preliminary investigation indicates the male driver, 58, failed to yield the right of way. He was questioned, determined not to be impaired and released. The investigation is continuing.
