Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 700 West Mount Houston Road about 6:15 p.m. last Thursday (November 26).
The male victim, 36, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer J. Leon reported:
The victim, a bicyclist, was crossing the street at the above address and had either slowed or stopped in the center lane. The female driver of a white Mercedes R320 was traveling eastbound and moved to the center lane, without seeing the bicyclist, and struck the victim.
The driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication.
There are no charges in this incident, as the investigation is continuing.
