Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 600 El Dorado Boulevard about 1:30 a.m. last Thursday (November 26).
The identity of the male victim, 27, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Senior Police Officer J. Broussard reported:
The victim was driving a gray Toyota Tacoma at a high rate of speed over railroad tracks at the above address. He failed to maintain a single lane and drove off the roadway on to the center grassy median. The Toyota partially rolled over, causing the roof to strike a tree.
Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene. Three passengers, two males, 18 and 19, and a female, 20, were transported to area hospitals in unknown conditions.
The investigation is continuing.
