| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 4300 Old Spanish Trail about 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday (January 17).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer C. Cisneros reported:
The victim was pushing a shopping cart northbound in the 5300 block of Blythewood. When he crossed Old Spanish Trail, not at a crosswalk, he was struck by a red Cadillac CTS traveling westbound on Old Spanish Trail. The victim died at the scene. The male driver of the Cadillac remained at the scene and was determined not to be impaired. He was released without charges.
