Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 3800 North Loop East (North Interstate Highway 610 East) about 11:15 p.m. on Sunday (April 28).
The identity of the deceased male, 51, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer R. Young reported:
The male was operating a black Harley Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle northbound on the Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) and exited onto the connector ramp to the 610 North Loop. While on the ramp, the motorcyclist failed to maintain a single lane, lost control and struck a barricade. The impact caused the male to be ejected from the motorcycle, off the ramp and on to the Eastex Freeway below. Paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The investigation is continuing.
