Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 3300 Holly Hall Street about 9:35 p.m. on Sunday (May 9).
The identity of the male victim, 46, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer D. Nguyen reported:
The driver of a white Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling southbound on the service road of the South Freeway (State Highway 288) approaching the intersection of Holly Hall. The victim, operating a white Kawasaki motorcycle, was traveling eastbound on Holly Hall, ignored the red light, entered the intersection and was struck by the pickup truck.
The victim was ejected and died at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck did not stop to provide medical assistance and fled the scene.
