| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2909 Rogerdale Road about 4:35 p.m. on Wednesday (November 30).
The identity of the female victim, 58, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer X. Zhang reported:
The female driver of a silver Toyota 4Runner drove through the front entrance of a United States Postal Office and struck a female pedestrian entering the building. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian deceased.
The female driver, 84, of the Toyota was transported to an area hospital where she was determined not to be impaired. She told investigators she accidentally hit the gas pedal.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
