Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2700 South State Highway 6

Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash at 2700 South State Highway 6 about 10:25 p.m. on Thursday (December 15).

The identity of the deceased female, 35, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Pham and Officer D. Hoang reported:

A white Toyota Tundra pickup truck was traveling southbound at the above address when the vehicle struck a pedestrian in a moving lane of traffic in a dark area of the roadway.  The male driver, 22, of the truck stopped, called 9-1-1 and attempted CPR.

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian deceased.  The driver of the pickup truck, who remained at the scene, was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.

The investigation is continuing.
