Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2300 Southwest Freeway

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 2300 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) about 12:10 a.m. Sunday (January 28).

The deceased male is identified as Clayton Craig, 32.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Y. Ramirez and Officer D. Thompson reported:

The deceased male was operating a blue Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on the Southwest Freeway way when he abruptly changed lanes and struck a red GMC Envoy and then an exit ramp barrier. He was thrown from his motorcycle onto the freeway exit ramp. The driver of a black Toyota Camry then struck the unoccupied motorcycle.

The male was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.

The drivers of both the GMC and Camry remained at the scene, were questioned and released. Neither showed signs of intoxication.

The investigation is on-going.
