| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1300 West 34th Street about 12:10 a.m. on Sunday (June 30).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Uribe and Officer V. Garcia reported:
The victim was driving a white Toyota Tundra pickup truck southbound on Golf Road and leaving a stop sign at the intersection of West 34th Street. The Toyota was struck by a black Ford F-150 pickup truck traveling westbound on 34th Street.
The male driver, 31, of the Ford, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Toyota was transported to Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is continuing and pending results of a mandatory blood draw on the driver of the Ford.
