Investigation into Fatal Crash at 12100 Overbrook Lane

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 12100 Overbrook Lane about 9:50 p.m. on Saturday (April 9).

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer T. Phillips reported:

The victim was operating a red Yamaha FZ6 motorcycle at a high rate of speed and traveling westbound on Overbrook Lane when he lost control of the motorcycle and put it down on its side.  The victim was then struck by a black Mitsubishi Lancer driving eastbound on Overbrook Lane.  Paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist deceased at the scene.

The male driver, 36, of the Mitsubishi did not show signs of intoxication.  He was questioned and released without charges.  The investigation is continuing.
