Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 12000 Greenspoint Drive about 10:15 p.m. last Friday (March 15).
The identity of the deceased male, believed to be 50, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Y. Ramirez and North Belt Patrol Division Officers reported:
The male was crossing the road eastbound – not in a crosswalk – at the above address when an unknown vehicle, traveling northbound, struck him. The driver failed to stop and render aid. Witnesses reported seeing a silver SUV fleeing the scene shortly after the crash.
Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the male to HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest, where doctors pronounced him deceased on Sunday (March 17).
