WHAT: House Fire
WHEN: January 15, 2022 at 6:46 p.m.
WHERE: 4100 block of Alvin St. 77051
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $55 thousand in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $95 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find heavy fire coming from the side of a 1-story home. They made an offensive attack and ventilated the home. A primary search was completed, and the fire was extinguished. There was extensive roof damage and to about half of the house. HFD Arson was requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. The American Red Cross was notified to assist the displaced resident. Crews from Stations 21, 46, 25, 33, 35, 46, 55 and 24 responded to this incident.
