INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $675 thousand in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $75 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find fire coming from the rear of a home. They made an attack on the fire and checked for extension inside the home. Once the fire was extinguished it was determined that the fire was accidental by improper discarding of hot ashes/coals on the second-floor patio area. It was also extremely windy which may have contributed to the incident. Firefighters from Stations 11, 6, 8 and 62 responded to this incident.
