WHAT: Abandoned House Fire
WHEN: May 19, 2022 at 5:19 a.m.
WHERE: 2100 block of Counter Point, 77055
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $200,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within seven minutes to find fire coming from the roof of a 1-story abandoned and boarded-up house. They made an attack, controlled the extension, and extinguished the fire within 20 minutes. There were no utilities to the home and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Crews from Station 4, 13, 2, 62 and 30 responded to this incident.
