WHAT: House fire.

WHERE: 7000 block of Kassarine Pass, 77033.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $45,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (equipment unattended).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes to find heavy fire coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. They reset the fire and conducted a primary search, removing burglar bars from the windows. The fire was controlled with crews pulling the ceiling and walls to complete extinguishment. The resident reported that a space heater and the surrounding floor was on fire before they were able to escape the home. Firefighters from Stations 35, 23, 26, 46, 24 and Rescue 42 responded this incident.
