WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: November 16, 2023, at 2:15 a.m.
WHERE: 1600 block of Demaree Ln. 77029.
INJURIES: One firefighter treated on scene.
PROPERTY SAVED: $10,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $20,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (mechanical failure, malfunction, other).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find a house and several vehicles on fire. They made an attack on the fire and ventilated the home. The power company arrived and secured the utilities. One firefighter was treated on scene by HFD EMS. The crews controlled and extinguished the fire and requested HFD Arson investigators to determine the cause and origin. 33 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 23, 20, 45, 27, 41, 42, 44 and 30.
