WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: November 16, 2023, at 1:58 a.m.
WHERE: 7600 block of Parker Rd. 77016.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $100,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $10,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (electrical malfunction at the bathroom exhaust fan).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within seven minutes to find smoke and fire coming from a 1-story house. They made an offensive attack and ventilated the roof. A primary search was completed, and the fire was extinguished. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 33 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including crews from Stations 56, 15, 34, 32 and 43.
