WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: February 18, 2023 at 3:51 p.m.
WHERE: 2100 block of Common St. 77009.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $625,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $125,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find a house on fire and made an offensive attack. The roof was ventilated, and crews checked for extension while conducting a primary search. The utilities were secured, and the fire was extinguished. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Firefighters from Stations 8, 9, 17, 15, 6, 19, 12, 44, 30 and Heavy Rescue 11 responded to this incident.
