WHAT: House fire.

WHERE: 500 block of Cresline St. 77076.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $105,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $30,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (mechanical failure, malfunction, other).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find fire coming from a house that was being remodeled. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. Crews ventilated the home and extinguished the fire with most of the attic space and roof supports destroyed. The heating unit appeared to have been the point of origin and had been turned on by the owner before the fire began. 34 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 30, 15, 31, 34 and 58.
