Houston Fire Department Incident Update

WHAT:	House Fire
WHEN:	January 27, 2022 at 3:14 p.m.
WHERE:	600 block of Kenwood Ln. 77013
INJURIES:	No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED:	$225 thousand in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE:	$35 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE:	Unintentional (cooking).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:	Firefighters arrived on scene to find a fire in the kitchen and attic of a home. They made an attack on the fire and secured the utilities. The home was ventilated and, once the fire was extinguished, crews conducted salvage and overhaul. The cause was determined to be due to a pan of oil left unattended to heat up on the stove top. Firefighters from Stations 23, 20, 45, 41, 44, 53 and 30 responded to this incident.
