WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: January 9, 2023 at 7:05 a.m.
WHERE: 4500 block of Austin St. 77004.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $465,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $30,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find fire coming from a house and made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed, and the home was ventilated. The fire was controlled, HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Crews from Stations 7, 15, 6, 8, 7, 16 and 24 responded to this incident.
