CAUSE: Unintentional
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes with a report of a people possibly trapped in a 1-story home with heavy fire coming from the side and smoke coming from the attic and windows. They made an attack on the fire and ventilated the home. A primary and secondary search were completed with no one found. Firefighters extinguished the fire and conducted overhaul. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the resident. The occupant fell asleep and likely dropped his cigarette into material on the ground, starting the fire. Crews from Stations 6, 31, 13, 15, 30, 58 and 12 responded to this incident.
