UPDATE: Composite Sketch of Suspect Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 6355 Griggs Road

Houston police have released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 6355 Griggs Road that occurred about 8:45 p.m. on September 26.  

The suspect is described only as a heavy-set black male, possibly  in his mid to late 20s, with long dreadlocks.  He was driving a dark-colored sedan of unknown make and model.  A composite sketch of the suspect is attached to this news release.

The victim, Norberto Velasquez, 23, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Officers B. Stephens and J. Gardner reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found Mr. Velasquez suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  A witness stated Velasquez was in a vehicle and stopped at a red light when an unknown black male suspect with long dreadlocks inside a black sedan fired multiple shots at Velasquez.  The suspect then fled the scene.
