WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: September 15, 2023, at 12:48 p.m.
WHERE: 13300 block of Pine Tree Forrest Trail, 77049.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $150,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (started in or around a battery powered trimmer).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a 1-story house. They made an offensive attack and quickly brought the fire under control. A primary search was conducted, and a dog and two cats were found. The fire was in the attic and outside the home burning the water lines in the attic and causing additional water damage. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 31 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 20, 45, 43, 44, 53 and 105.
