WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: February 11, 2024, at 5:16 p.m.
WHERE: 3100 block of Burkett St. 77004.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $20,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find smoke and fire coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. The roof was ventilated, and a primary search was completed. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 42 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 7, 25, 23, 8, 46, 18 and 30.
