WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: December 3, 2023, at 4:48 p.m.
WHERE: 1200 block of W. 21st St. 77008.
INJURIES: One civilian transported to the hospital.
PROPERTY SAVED: $235,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $30,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find smoke coming from a house and made an offensive attack. A small fire was found and extinguished. Crews ventilated the smoke from the home and conducted salvage and overhaul. One resident was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation. 35 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 11, 31, 15 and 62.
