INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $253,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $47,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke coming from the attic of a 1-story home. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search with no one found. The utilities were secured, and the roof was ventilated. The crews located and extinguished the fire which originated from the AC blower motor in the main ductwork. Firefighters completed salvage and overhaul and returned to service. Crews from Stations 8, 20, 18, 25, 40, 7 and 24 responded to this incident.
